ToSh Celebrates the Diamond Jubilee ….. and also does a little shopping… London!!

This weekend ToSh had the pleasure of experiencing a “Very Royal Celebration”.

ToSh took a trip to London to experience the Queen’s diamond Jubilee. We decided to go on the final day of the UK’s 4 day celebration weekend; the crowds had seen concerts including Elton John, Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder amongst other global superstars performing in front of Buckingham Palace. Our day. ‘the Tuesday’ included the official “Carriage” parade from Westminster Palace to Buckingham Palace, the crowd’s were huge for the day, we spoke to people from all over the world including Australia, Canada, USA, Japan as well as visitors not to far from home.

Our day started off at Camden Market, we have visited there many times before but every time we go we ALWAYS have a fantastic time, the sites, sounds, smells and range of products on show prove that Camden Market is one of THE places to visit for any traveller, trust me …… Camden Market is a “day out” on its own; don’t expect to see it all in a few hours. Try to get there just before everything opens, just as the store holders are opening up, have a wander around, have a ‘Bubble Tea’, relax, take in Camden. Then SHOP ….. You can get anything and everything…..

Following Camden, we headed off to the Palace to try and get a prime spot to see the parade; it was a truly fantastic sight, the pomp and circumstance that only the English can offer really made the day in London a memorable experience.
